Galaxy Peonies!

Today I am sharing a galaxy themed card, inspired by some beautiful multi-toned stamped flowers that I had seen on Instagram. I recently bought a galaxy themed paper pad from The Works, so decided that rather than paint the flowers by hand I would stamp and emboss them onto the paper pad itself! The stamp set is peony bloom by tonic studios.

After this I added a little dimension to the flowers with some mica and metallic watercolours and some shading with coloured pencils. I added a flower centre using Dovecraft pearl effects in gold to the largest flower. For the leaves I used a Sizzix die set called floral layers cut in a shade of gold mirror card and a matt metallic gold card. The background was done with splatters of gold mica and metallic watercolours on black card. I went around the edge with my gold ink pad.

Finally the sentiment was partly cut out of purple mirror card with some small Trimcraft alphabet dies, and the second part was printed out on my computer. Thank you for looking, I hope you enjoyed!
